Hello everybody, Korvic here. We're working hard, and noticing a trend of races. Our main lore writer has been going through some rough issues IRL right now, so we're trying to piece together the wiki as fast as we can so all the lore can be seen fully fleshed out. For now, what I see happening is that people have been picking "extinct" races. They're really the only ones talked about too much in the main posted lore right now, so don't think we're angry or anything, in fact, we are at fault. So I'm here to give a brief description of each race, and if they're "extinct" right now.
Aquil - Most like common Nords
Aquil men are generally very tall and muscular by nature, with strong, squared features and thick body hair. An adult will reach about seven feet tall on average, and often weigh over 210 pounds. Females are somewhat smaller, with more compact muscle, but retain the same strong features. Aquil have pale skin, almost comparable to Avasonus. Even those living in the southern reaches of Pavon rarely gain more than a light tan. They tend to have similarly light eye colors, usually ranging from blue, to hazel, to green. Hair colors somewhere between dirty blonde and sandy brown, cut short aside from one or two small braids by men, and allowed to grow approximately to shoulder length by women. Men that are not members of the Gilboan Orthodox clergy are known for taking pride in well-kept beards often braiding them and even incorperating beads.
Avasuun // Avasonus - Most like common Elves
Avasuun are short and slender, averaging a little over four and a half feet tall and weighing somewhere in the range of 80 to 110 pounds. They are slim and agile with large, captivating eyes and pointed ears matched in length only by the Varena and Telum. Avasuun tend to have medium to dark brown hair, which they take great pride in. Nearly all members of the race grow their hair out, keeping it braided or pulled back if need be, but never put up so that it should hide its length. Their golden skin is lightly mottled in such a way that in certain lighting it may seem to almost shimmer as if it actually contained gold flakes. This adds to the popular, though not necessarily correct view among other races that all Avasuun have natural, unparalleled beauty.
Slender in build, the Avasonus stand shorter than the races of men and the Varena, but are slightly taller than their Avasuun cousins. The Avasonus are “blessed” with blond, white, or red hair, which the females keep long, and most have light blue or green eyes, but violet eyes appear occasionally. They have the characteristic ears of elves, but their ears do not reach as high as the Varena’s or Avasuun’s. The Avasonus are long lived, but still reach their prime at about age twenty. Most Avas remain in peak physical condition for about one hundred and fifty years, and then age slowly until they pass away, usually before their fourth century elapses.
Ensik - "Extinct", Most like common Orcs
Errare - Most like hispanic humans, they like to travel and live simple lives. Do odd jobs, trade with one another, etc.
Lentra - Most like common Gnomes (Think DnD gnomes)
Litus - Darker skinned humans, most preferred professions are sailors and artists.
Varena - Most like common Dark Elves
Varena, much like their Avasuun cousins, are naturally graceful and perceived by the other races to have a chilling exotic beauty about them. They are rarely heavily built, putting on only lean muscle if any at all, and rely on stealth and wit to win their battles. Their skin ranges from charcoal gray to deep obsidian, occasionally with a slight hint of cobalt blue, with contrasting silvery-white hair which may be kept in various unusual styles. Eye colors range from sanguine red to fiery orange, and even yellows, violet, or magenta. Varena also show some more animalistic qualities than many of the other races. They have not only slit pupils but more control over muscles used to move the ears. The latter is not usually very noticeable as their range of movement is somewhat limited, but they can subtly display emotion, especially anger. In addition to this, it is common for Varena to keep their fingernails cut to a point rather than a rounded edge, resembling claws.
Vystra - "Extinct", Most like common Dwarves
Telum - Most like common Goblins
